About/Structure
The Thrive Homeschool Community Components
We want genuine community for ourselves and our kids with other local homeschool families. We aimed to create a structure that will promote this! Once you register your family as a member, feel free to attend as many or as few of our events as you would like to.
Monthly Gatherings
Monthly Connect Time and Family Activities (10:00-12:00)
-2nd Monday of each month
-St. Matthew's Lutheran Church (1915 Hogeboom Ave, Eau Claire, WI 54701)
-Connect Time: **new format this year!** There will be no classes, childcare or formal mom's connect time. Kids are welcome to play, bring games, use the playground, etc. and moms are responsible for their own children. Mom's connect time is built into this informal time where the St. Matthew's building is available for our use. This will also be our time for Christmas/Valentine parties.
LUNCH - Bring your own lunch (12:00-12:30 p.m.)
Family Learning & Celebrations (12:30-2:00):
We will gather for some learning or celebrating as a large group. Future ideas are: sledding, snake presentation, festival of nations, handicraft sale, carnival, missionary speaker, other people presenting on hobbies, etc.
Field Trips
We will have at least one Field Trip per month. We will also try to go to a park or something nearby to keep having fun together after the field trip if it is a shorter one. Feel free to organize more! Sign ups will be on the website here.
Field trips will likely be on a Friday or the 1st or 4th Monday of the month.
